Kogi people donated money for GYB Tribunal legal services – Fanwo

Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Mr Kingsley Fanwo has said the good people of Kogi State donated money to support the Governor’s legal battles at the tribunal as a way of “confirming their total and uncompromising support for his mandate”.

Fanwo stated this in Mopa during his visit to the Local Government to celebrate with the Moslem community on the occasion the Eid Fitr, saying the Governor received donations from the people who were determined to protect the mandate freely given to the him on November 16, 2020.
“I was on a visit to Ochaja to see our Broadcast Station. A woman in her 60s gave me 1000 naira to give to the Governor as her contribution to the legal services to defend the mandate of the people. I got emotional by the show of love by the people.

“Ochaja is in Dekina Local Government Area, the Local Government of origin of Engr Musa Wada who was the Governorship candidate of the PDP. Kogi has really been sociologically re-engineered to defeat ethnic bigotry.

“We thank you the great people of Kogi State for your show of love to the Governor who has already dedicated his series of victories at the tribunal to his people. He will continue to work with you and for you”.

He urged those who have lost at the tribunal to accept the “sound and faultless judgements”, saying the next task is “to unite for the advancement of the state”.

His words: “The judgements have reminded us of the loyalty of law to facts, logic and presented information rather than emotions. We thank the people of Kogi State for their prayers and support. The reception I have received here shows how joyous our people have been.

GYB is their Governor, the man that has cleaned the lines of divisions, pulled down the walls of segregation and brought unity and development. The general feeling of the populace is quite understandable.

“The administration will never disappoint the good people of our state. GYB sees the opportunity to serve as a generational challenge that he has faced with positivity and quality delivery. Kogi will only get better”.

Fanwo also thanked the people of the state for supporting security agencies in discharging their duties, affirming that the “vigilance of the people and the resilience of the security agencies have been the factors that have made GYB the most outstanding Governor in defeating crime”. He also urged the people to maintain good personal hygiene as Government will always ensure their healthcare and wellbeing.
