The Senior Special Assistant(SSA) to Kogi State Governor on Security Matters in charge of Kabba/Bunu Local Government, Hon Ariyo Adebayo has called on the federal government to hold the National Centre for Disease Control(NCDC) responsible should anything untoward happen to the Chief Imam of Kabba, Sheikh Ahmad Abubakar Ejibunu who has been declared as COVID-19 positive and kept in an isolation Centre in Abuja.

Adebayo said the Local Government needed to add it’s voice to condemn the politics being played by the NCDC in trying to force COVID-19 down the throat of Kogi at all cost.
” How is it possible for the Chief Imam to be positive while his son that is always with him and other family members test negative? It is wrong for NCDC to carry out such a test without the knowledge of the authorities in the State. By that, the agency has indirectly negated it’s own rules”, he declared.
The SSA to the Governor stressed that “Sheikh Abubakar is a man loved by the people in the community and must not be allowed to suffer in the hands of the people bent on recording evil against the state”.

He decried attempts by some family members to create fear and panic amongst the people through write-ups instead of allowing government take charge as stipulated by law.
Adebayo admonished all stakeholders in the state to close ranks and support efforts of the State Government led by Alhaji Yahaya Bello to defeat the pandemic and also reposition the health sector in the state.
