Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram joined other stars to pay tribute to late George Floyd, an American man who died in the hands of the police. The moving moment came after Thuran found the back of the net in the first half of his side’s Bundesliga meeting against Union Berlin.

In his celebration, the French striker knelt down to his knees and blew his head in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter initiative.

His gesture came amid widespread protests across the US demanding for justice over the death of Floyd.

Floyd had a knee pressed on his neck by a police officer while being detained in Minneapolis last Monday, May 25.
