Kogi State Government is to begin a structured tax compliance relief program for individual taxpayers and businesses to mitigate COVID-19 impact.
Governor Yahaya Bello made the disclosure through a directive to the Kogi State Commissioner of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Hon. Asiwaju Idris.
The Governor Charged the Commissioner to come up with tax relief programmes for individual taxpayers and businesses in the State.
The governor gave the directives while reviewing impact of COVID-19 in the state as it affects the local economy, livelihood and food security.
The tax relief according to the governor is expected to be operational by the State Internal Revenue Services in the third quarter of this year.
The structured tax compliance relief program for individual taxpayers and businesses will mitigate COVID-19 impact on incomes and earnings.
