5 year old Hacked to Death in
Oyo State

Unknown assailants have hacked yet another young person to death in Akinyele
Area of Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital making it the fourth incident within
the span of six weeks in the same vicinity.

The victim, simply identified as Mujeeb was murdered on Monday 22nd
June by yet-to-be identified gunmen in his compound in Tose area of Akinyele.

Prior to the gruesome murder were the murders of three other victims Grace
Osiagwu, Barakat Bello and Azeezat Shomuyiwa in the same area within the

Mrs Tirimisiyu, Mujeeb’s mother’s in an interview with reporters said her son

He wasn’t dead initially so neighbors helped rushed him to the hospital
Where he died shortly after.

When contacted the, the Police Public Relations Officer of the state,
Mr Gbenga Fadeyi, confirmed the incident.

Fadeyi, a superintendent of police (SP), said the police is doing
Everything they can to track the assailants down.
They are working with other security agencies, the community and
Stakeholders to make sure justice is served.

He said: “It is a challenge, and we are working hard to track down the
Criminals, they will be arrested with time.
