The Founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo today came down hard on the authorities for the continued lockdown of churches while markets are thrown open.
In his sermon today at the headquarters of his Church at Cannanland Otta Ogun State, the Cleric said it was unthinkable that churches are locked continuously while market places where social distancing are not enforced are allowed to allowed operate.
” This so-called COVID-19 is an anti- church Virus. Where is the scientific explanation in opening the markets where people are most susceptible to contact the virus while the churches with better hygiene and environment, where healing of the same virus take place are under lock and key.
Public vehicles are going about in cities freely jammed with passengers but Churches no! In the Living Faith Church, we already have testimonies of 114 people healed of the Virus including a consultant. Now, is that a place to be shut down or restricted?
But I assure you there will be good news this. We cannot sit idle while the church of God is locked for life. Is there no more freedom of worship in the Constitution? We must all pray against the continued lockdown of the churches. Enough is enough. It shall happen this week. We are not going to allow dictations as to when to go to church and when to close. The churches must be opened”, he declared.
