Ondo 2020:Gov Akeredolu and Deputy, Agboola’s feud worsens over impeachment claims

The battle is not yet over for Agboola Ajayi and his estranged boss Rotimi Akeredolu, after the governor came hard on his deputy amid clashes of political interests that have caused a strain between the two former brothers.

DgovScoops recalls that after irreconcilable dispute, Agboola dumped the All Progressive Congress (APC) and pitched his arms with Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in an efforts to solidify his
Aspirations.

With less than four months to the guber election in Ondo state, Governor Akeredolu has slammed his deputy, saying he is being hunted by the nemesis of his lies.
.
It would be recalled Agboola had alleged plots to impeach him by the governors, claiming that Akeredolu gave 19 out of the 23 lawmakers in the state N10 million to offer their signature for his removal.

Speaking through his media aide, Allen Sowore, Agboola also made it known that there was an attempt by the governor to impeach the speaker of Ekiti state house of assembly, Bamidele Oloyeloogun.

But in his reaction, Governor Akeredolu described Agboola’s claims as illogical and lies flying in the face of facts.

“It is, perhaps, illogical that the Governor with ‘minority’ in the Assembly will be inviting the Deputy Governor’s ‘majority’ for what they feel appropriate for their imaginary thoughts,” part of the statement issued by the governor read.

Akeredolu said he is not discouraged by the campaign of lies and propaganda embarked upon by Agboola and his allies.

Meanwhile, DgovScoops reported that the commissioner of police in Ondo, Salami Amidu Bolaji, has reacted to the allegation connected to the posting and withdrawal of officers attached to deputy governor Agboola Ajayi.

In reaction to rumours making the rounds that he has a hand in the withdrawal of the deputy governor’s security details, Bolaji made it clear that only the Inspector-General of Police has the right to make such a decision.
