The embattled clerk of the National Assembly, was on Thursday, July 16, denied access into the NASS complex.

There was intensified presence of security operatives manning the assembly complex in a bid to prevent Sani-Omolori whose office has been placed under lock and key from gaining access. According to DgovScoops, pictures of the embattled clerk have also been pulled down from the wall of the National Assembly where they were placed beside those of the Senate president Ahmed Lawan.

Omolori ran into trouble with the federal lawmakers after he was accused of not following due process in carrying out administrative duties as the chief accounting officer of the National Assembly. The embattled clerk’s tenure ends in June 2021 but he may be handed an inglorious exit having fallen down the pecking order with the power that be in the National Assembly.
