Member representing Okigwe North Federal constituency, Imo State, Hon Princess Miriam Onuoha has reaffirmed her commitment to the overall welfare and development of her Constituency especially as it concerns the women and the girl child.

Princess Onuoha stated this in a chat with newsmen during this year’s grand finale of the August Meeting.

According to her,
the invaluable role played by women in Okigwe North cannot be overemphasized.
She enjoined them to joyfully continue in playing the divinely supportive role assigned to them by God for the betterment of the society.

The amiable federal lawmaker warmly used the occasion to felicitate with wife of the Imo State Governor, Barr. Mrs Chioma Uzodimma for her ability to organize a successful August Meeting this year despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
She extolled the commitment of the First Lady and her apparent passion towards the affairs of Imo women in general.

According to Princess Miriam, “the joy of participating in this year’s August Meeting initially threatened by the COVID 19 pandemic would remain indelible in the minds of Imo women.”

Mama Sure-P, as she is fondly known is a foremost advocate of women and girl child rights, as it is evident in her strides, motions and bills since assumption of office as a Federal lawaker. She expressed optimism that the teachings of this year’s August meeting would bear fruits in the lives and families of women of Okigwe North Federal Constituency and by extension, Imo State in general.

Princess Onuoha
reiterated her determination to partner with the Governor’s wife, the State ministry of gender and vulnerable affairs in promoting the welfare of Okigwe North women and Imo State in general through legislative processes at the National level.
