The Global Chairman of the Bola Tinubu Solidarity Vanguard, BATS-VANGUARD, Amb. Dr. Dare Owotomobi has extolled the Democratic virtures of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for coming out to state that, though the EndSARS protesters reserve the right to express their disenchantment with gross human rights abuses, torture, extortion, harassment, intimidation and extra-judicial killings of Nigerians by members of the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, they allowed miscreants to hijack the protests.
In a statement signed on behalf of BATS-VANGUARD’S Global Chairman, Dr Owotomobi by his Special Assistant on Media, Jimmy Nanyak Lar, he said it is impossible for any leader that is committed to the rule of law, democracy and good governance to be opposed to the yearnings and aspirations of the protesters.
Amb. Owotomobi further stated that Asiwaju is a leader that is not only committed to mentoring young and future leaders, but also focused and committed to the rule of law and freedom of expression by the citizenry.
He concluded that it is such compassionate leaders that Nigeria needs to make the difference among the commity of nations.
