Nine abducted students of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria have been released after payment of ransom.
DgovScoops  gathered that the students were released Saturday night after a million was paid as ransom for each of them.
Already, friends, family members and well wishers have taken to their social media handles thanking God for their release. They had earlier intensified efforts to help in raising the ransom demanded by the kidnappers.

The need for the release of the abducted students became more urgent last night when @Abu_campus tweeted a screenshot with the words, “please they called and reduced the money to two million naira and gave 12am as deadline.”
The nine students were kidnapped by armed men last week Sunday, November 15, on the Kaduna – Abuja road and a cumulative sum of N270 million was demanded for their ransom.
They were reportedly heading for Badagry, Lagos, for an exchange programme.
