Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma has congratulated the All Progressives Congress(APC) and its Senatorial candidate for the December 5 Imo North Senatorial Election, Sir Frank Ibezim on his emphatic victory at the polls.

Governor Uzodimma aired his congratulatory message today in his state wide broadcast. He added that personality of Ibezim drew him closer to the people thereby securing their support all through the electioneering period and vote during election.

He further appreciated the good people of Imo North for coordinating themselves in the most appropriate and democratic manner before and during the election and expressed his joy that indeed Imo North people have chosen APC again in the loving memory of Late Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu who until his death was the Senator representing Okigwe North and of APC extraction.

Governor Uzodimma further charged Frank Ibezim in the spirit of sportsmanship to be magnanimous in victory and called on other candidates to shun politics of hate, Propaganda and acrimony and join hands with the winner to drive home good governance to the people of Imo North.

The Governor used the opportunity to thank the INEC for conducting a free, fair and credible election and urged the commission to upgrade on their ways of doing things for future elections. He also thanked the security outfits deployed for the election as well as relevant stakeholders for ensuring a peaceful election in Okigwe Zone.

">

He however assured Okigwe Zone and Imo people that he and the ruling party will not be careless with the Victory of Ibezim to bring Development to the Zone and Imo people in general.
