The Presidential election in Uganda continues to attract all sorts of controversy with each passing day. The election had pitted Seating President Yoweri Museveni against the vocal and brave Boby Wine.
During the electioneering period, Museveni has continued to terrorize and frustrate Boby Wine through the use of military forces.
A few minutes ago, Boby Wine Expressed fear for his life after Army Forces stormed his home and surrounded it. According to Boby Wine, the soldiers had refused to state the reason for surrounding his home.
“We are under siege. The military has jumped over the fence and has now taken control of our home. ” he wrote on Twitter
The vocal politician had already expressed his concern on the aftermath of the election to a point that he decided to have his family flown out of the country for fear of their safety.
Museveni has been leading in recent results that have been steaming in the past few hours.
Yesterday, Boby Wine had indicated a win was on the offing for his side. He had assured his supporters of a win provided the results are free and fair.
“Hello, Uganda! Despite the widespread fraud and violence experienced across the country earlier today, the picture still looks good. Thank you, Uganda for turning up and voting in record numbers. The challenge now is for Mr. Byabakama and the EC to declare the will of the People. ” he wrote on Twitter.
