Kogi State Government has commenced the construction of the Ganaja junction Flyover in the heart of Lokoja.
DgovScoops crew were on hand to witness the demolition of structures around the junction to pave way for the flyover.
The contractor, TEC construction company has been mobilised to site and will carry-out the project in line with specifications.
The Kogi State Commissioner of Works and Housing, Eng. Abubakar Sadiq Ohiare while monitoring the demolition of structures at the site said all owners of affected structures and properties have been compensated before the demolition.
Engineer Abubakar added that the plan of the state governor was to leave behind legacy projects describing the project as a giant stride.
According to him, the Beams for the bridges have been casted and ready for assemblage after site clearing and relocation of power line, waterline and communication lines.
The commissioner explained that the Ganaja road junction flyover would be completed by December this year and explained that other roads in the state capital were undergoing construction.
Speaking, the Chief Engineer TEC Engineering, Bing Jin, assured of timely completion of the project, says the work when completed would meet international standards as one of the best in the country.
