Unidentified gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted Taraba state Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress(NLC), Peter Jediel.
He was abducted at about 1.12 am on Sunday from his home at Sunkani headquarters of Ardo-Kola local government area.
It was gathered that the gunmen numbering up to 12 shot sporadically to scare people in the neighborhood before gaining entrance into the Jediel’s house and took him to an unknown location.
A brother of the NLC Chairman Boniface Stephen said no contact has been established with the kidnappers.
Spoke person of Taraba police command ASP Leha Reform confirmed the incident.
He said no contact was made with the abductors and the police have swung into action to rescue him.
” We received the news of abduction of the State chairman of Nigeria Labour Congress in Sunkani by unidentified gunmen and police have swung into action to rescue him” he said.
