Only prayers can heal and with prayers Nigeria will overcome the siege presently on the land by unscrupulous elements which have decided to turn their fatherland into a mess with their nefarious activities.

This was the opening verse of the comprehensive traditional spiritual prayers unleashed on elements causing mayhem in the country at the 2021 Yoruba Traditional Prayer Session at the palace of Oba Abdulraman Atanda, the Oba Nla of FCT in Abuja penultimate week.

Leading the pack is the kingmaker and custodian of Yoruba culture and tradition in the Federal Capital Territory, Oba Babajide S. O. Falade, the Oba Aala of FCT.
In his address, the kingmaker prayed for peace and unity of Nigeria in a harmonious inter-tribal relationship. He also admonished Nigerian to live a clean life stressing that the Covid-19,pandemic can only be curtailed through cleanliness.

“Our fore fathers was first to show us the path towards a healthy life through the principle of keeping our environment clean at all times citing the old school song; (cleanliness is the cure to all diseases) which he rendered in Yoruba dialect and went viral.

According to him, washing of hands, covering of face with mask and rubbing sanitizer on our palms are all part of the old school principle of cleanliness. He called on Yoruba both at home and in the Diaspora to embrace tradition in addition to whatever they belief in the new religion dispensation.

The Chief Host of the Event, Oba Abdulrahaman Atanda in his remarks, appealed to all Yoruba’s living in the FCT to be united and support one another for the sake of prosperity.
