The administration of Kogi State under the leadership of H.E Governor Yahaya Bello has appointed a nine (9) man high powered committee to fast track the numerous Tourism potentialities of Kogi State.
Kogi State boasts of many historic, cultural and tourism potentialities such as the Confluence of Rivers Niger and Benue,
an European Cemetery (1896AD), the spot of the hoisting and lowering of Union Jack flag, Lord Lugard Rest House, Mount Patti, to mention a few.
According to a release from Dr (Mrs) Folashade Arike Ayoade the Secretary to the State Government the team is chaired by Otunba Segun Runsewe, the current DG National Council For Arts and Culture,while the members include the world renowned Chief (Mrs ) Nike Okundaye of Nike Art Gallery, Otunba Wale Akinboboye, CEO of La Campaigne Tropicana Resort, Badagry.
Also in the team are, Dr Ronke Bello, Chief Joseph Makoju, Mr Kehinde Quadri Adu of the AU and Mallam Yesufu Abubakar.
Kogi State Commisioner of Culture and Tourism Salifu Idachaba is Alternate Chair while Femi Bolaji serves as Secretary.
