MC Oluomo bounces back as Sanwo’olu appoints him Chairman Park Management Committee

Governor Babajide Sanwo’olu of Lagos State has approved the appointed Mr Musiliu Akinsanya aka MC Oluomo as the Chairman of the state Park Management Committee.
This was confirmed in a statement issued by the state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Gbenga Omotoso.
He said the establishment of the committee and appointment of Akinsanya were the outcomes of wide consultations between government and stakeholders within the transport sector.
The committee is to oversee affairs of all motor parks and garages in the state.
“The Government has, therefore, exercised its constitutional powers to ensure that no vacuum, which can disrupt the peace of our dear state,is allowed to exist in the parks.
“This is a duty we owe all Lagosians and visitors,” the statement said.
Other members of the committee are Mr. Hakeem Odumosu (AIG Rtd) , Government Liaison Officer, , Alh Sulyman B. Ojora , Deputy Chairman ,
Dr Taiwo Olufemi Salaam, Secretary, Comrade Olayiwola Lemboye, Alh Mustapha Adekunle, Alh Ganiyu Shittu, Alh Mukaila Runsewe, Alh Sulyman Yusuf, Alh Mufutau Mutiu, Alh Yinka Hassan and Alh Sunday Ogunleye.
Others are Alh Moshood Omojowa, Alh Ismaila Aigoro, Alh Ibrahim Yusuf. O, Alh Akeem Tijani, Mrs Omolabake Adelakun, Comrade Kazeem Hassan, Alh Wasiu Amole, Alh Ganiyu Ayinde, Anthony Adeyinka Adeboye, John Victor Owolabi, Saburi Salami, Ibrahim Onitiju and Odusanya Gbenga
According to the statement, members of the committee are to report to the Ministry of Transportation for further briefing.
Vitalnews reports that the state government had on March 10 suspended NURTW operations in all parks and garages, following the tension sparked by some events in the union.
With this development, Lagos State government is taking after Oyo and Ondo States to establish Park Management Committee to undermine the National Union of Road Transport Union (NURTW) in the South West.
