As part of its efforts to combat the coronavirus pandemic, the Kaduna state government says it has visited 29,771 households in the nine local government areas of the state.

The local government areas have recorded COVID-19 cases. They are: Chikun, Igabi, Kaduna North, Kaduna South, Makarfi, Giwa, Sabon-Gari, Soba, and Zaria. According to the state government, health officials were going into communities to search for and test persons that may show any of the symptoms of COVID-19.

An international group of scientists analyzed 172 studies conducted in 16 countries, looking at the connection between social distancing, wearing masks, and wearing eye protection, and the risk of spreading coronavirus.

The study included people who have been infected with the virus and they followed the behaviours between those who did and did not practice the preventive measure. According to the researchers of the study led by Dr. Holger Schunemann from McMaster University in Ontario, Canada, the senior author, it was observed that the further people stand away from each other, the lower the risk. The researchers in concluding the study explained that the risk of COVID-19 spreading drops by half for every additional meter of distancing up to 3 meters. How 313 new COVI

Legit also reported that Sanusi Danmusa, the controller of Kaduna state correctional centre, has confirmed that one of the centres in the state rejected a convict brought in by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Tribune reports that Danmusa said the rejection conformed with directives not to admit new inmates in order to check the spread of coronavirus. Legit.ng gathered that he stated this while reacting to claims by the Kaduna zonal office of the EFCC that a convict, Sadiq Mustapha, was turned back when he was brought to the centre for admission.
