NDDC Contracts: Akpabio shld retract his statement or I sue him – Sen Urhoghide

Senator representing Edo South Senatorial district, Senator Matthew Urhoghide, has threatened legal action against Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio on his claim that the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) awarded six contracts to any company owned by him.
Urhoghide, speaking on Channels television on Wednesday, accused the Minister of blackmail, said that as a representative of his constituents, he has right to recommend projects in his constituency to the Commission for executions but cannot recommend any contractor to be used.
He also stated that he expects Akpabio to retract the statement in the next few days or face legal action.
” Akpabio is a man of contradiction. I expect that in the next few days, he is going to retract this. If he does not retract this, I will contemplate legal action against him”.
