Paris Saint-German(PSG) manager Thomas Tuchel has been shown the exit door at the French club on Christmas Eve hours after guiding the Parisians to a 4-0 rout over Racing Strasbourg.
The former Borussia Dortmund boss has been under pressure at the Parc des Princes for some time but was kept on in the summer after reaching the Champions League final in August.
Latest reports from Germany have it that the 47-year old is set to be replaced by former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino. The decision to part ways with the German manager came hours after the French champions smashed four goals past Racing Strasbourg, which saw them close the gap to Ligue 1 leaders Lyon.
And this is coming just months after he led the Parisians to the final of the prestigious Champions League, but despite that he was fired by PSG’s sporting Director Leonardo. While PSG haven’t quite dominated Ligue 1 like in previous years, Tuchel managed to come out on top in their awkward Champions League group, which contained RB Leipzig and Manchester United.
